The incidence of poverty is very high in rural areas in Nigeria and many rural widows and orphans are living below the poverty line, lacking access to basic education, good accommodations and nutrition, and adequate health and social services. Many Widows and orphans are very vulnerable to extreme poverty and cannot afford the necessities of livelihood.

So pathetic that a lot of widows and orphans are struggling silently and living in chronic poverty with a daily living of less than a dollar. The Widows need money, good accommodation, good health insurance packages, material resources, and Food items.

Widows are sometimes forced to migrate because they have no pension, government support, or life insurance available to them to take care of these basic needs. Our act of kindness through the food, clothing, and basic household item distribution program brings Widows happiness and joy.

At the Widows Rejoice Mission, We strive to meet these very pressing needs by Lending a helping hand and making widows happy. Throughout the Food, and clothing distribution program, we assist and take care of widows who are really in need, by giving Food and Material support.

We show care to widows who have no one else to care for them by providing for their basic needs. The provision of material support and a simple act of care is very essential and goes a long way to express the love language to Widows and orphans within our spaces. Also, we create awareness to make Legislators and lawmakers to focus on the issue of poverty reduction, prescribing policies that will bring about poverty reduction experienced by Widows.
